“Mindfulness is not about sitting still and doing nothing—it’s about doing everything with presence. Each breath reminds us there is more right with us than wrong with us, and how we show up in the world begins here.”

Mindfulness‑Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Services

What Is MBSR?

Mindfulness‑Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an evidence‑based program developed by Dr. Jon Kabat‑Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. It combines mindfulness meditation, gentle movement, and practical awareness practices to help participants reduce stress, improve resilience, and cultivate presence in everyday life.
The 8‑week MBSR program is intended for individuals who wish to access inner resources through rigorous and systematic training in mindfulness meditation practices. MBSR teachers are skilled at guiding formal meditation practices and offering didactic and experiential teachings on:
Perception and conditioning
Automatic, habitual stress reactivity
Mindfulness‑mediated stress response
Communication and relating

Through the highly specific flow of sessions, participants learn to recognize signs of stress and discover strategies for meeting themselves and their lives with greater calmness, steadiness, compassion, and choice.

Program Structure
Duration: 8 weeks
Format: 2.5‑hour sessions each week + daily home practice
Total Contact Hours: 31.5 Completion = 31.5 hours. Submit to your certifying body for CEUs.

Participants learn to:

Manage stress more effectively
Increase focus and clarity
Build resilience in the face of challenges
Cultivate compassion and self‑awareness
Improve overall health and wellbeing

Important Note
“Successful completion” of the 8‑week MBSR program is not a certification and does not confer training to teach the program to others.
Each student who completes the MBSR course will receive a letter/transcript of completion with hours that can be submitted to their institution or professional certifying body for review. Many organizations—including those for coaches, nurses, therapists, and social workers—recognize the value of MBSR skills for resilience, self‑care, flexibility, and burnout prevention.
