““When we started, I was still waiting for my gastric sleeve surgery. I was apprehensive—I had thought it through thoroughly and knew it was the right choice, but I had never had major surgery before. On December 19, I had the surgery, and it was very successful. I’ve gone from 221 lbs. to the 170s, and I no longer need insulin.
This transformation happened alongside Michelle’s gentle coaching. She helped everything feel smooth and manageable. At first, I felt I had no time to exercise. In one early session, we decided I could begin walking during lunch breaks and on weekends. Because of serious vision restrictions from years of diabetes, I cannot walk safely at night. Michelle helped me give myself permission to step away from my desk, put up a sign, and go. My walking has doubled on weekends, and I’ve added after‑work walks too. This has been significant—not just for my body, but for my mind.
I’ve also started journaling, something I had never done before. At work, I still face challenges, but I’m looking at them differently and making progress with myself. Recently, I made a breakthrough on a deeply personal issue—something I wasn’t sure I could even talk about. With Michelle’s support, I found new ways to approach it, and what once felt like a complete standstill in my home life now feels lighter and more workable.
I had no idea how much I needed a coach. Michelle has been such a big help to me—on issues so diverse! I’m excited because so much is changing in my life right now. Who would have thought? It feels wonderful to no longer be swimming in my own muck. I now have several clear‑cut purposes in progress.
I truly believe more people should be offered health coaching. I often wonder how different my life might have been if I had a coach years ago.
Sparkles, Michelle—and thanks a million!”

Hi Michelle, you said something recently that has had a profound impact on my health and well-being. You asked if we routinely serviced our cars w/regular oil changes and tune-ups, which I do. You then asked if we did the same for our personal health w/regular check-ups and recommended exams, which I hadn’t been doing for a few years. Your questions were a major wake-up call and really put me taking care of my health into perspective.
In the last 2 weeks,
I have had my gallbladder removed due to gallstones
had a bone density scan and discovered I have osteoporosis and have started Boniva
had a mammogram-all fine
had a pelvic and Pap (waiting for results which I am sure are fine)
scheduling a screening colonoscopy
had blood work, which is all fine
started committing to doing some exercise everyday
Thank you so much and I wanted to share the impact of your coaching, caring and wisdom.
